DAMG Host OzFoodNet Meeting

DAMG to co-host a meeting on the role of NGS in foodborne pathogen disease surveillance.

On Tuesday 21st July at the Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, OzFoodNet and the Doherty Applied Microbial Genomics are co-hosting a closed meeting of experts that will discuss the best strategies to implement microbial genomics for surveillance and investigation of foodborne pathogens in Australia. Presentations will be given by representatives of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Public Health England (PHE) and the Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR).  In addition to OzFoodNet and DAMG, representatives of the Commonwealth Department of Health, National Surveillance Committee, Department of Health and Human Services and the Communicable Diseases Network of Australia will be attendance.
